DUBROVAČKI KURIOZITETI

Iz obrazloženja o dodjeljivanju Nagrade Grada Dubrovnika:

Dubrovački novinar i publicist Suad Ahmetović dobitnik je Nagrade Grada Dubrovnika kao autor monografije "Dubrovački kurioziteti iz dva minula tisućljeća", koja je imala izniman medijski odjek i pobudila veliko zanimanje čitatelja.

Djelo se može promatrati kao ogledni primjer istraživačkog novinarstva, sa snažnim poticajem za cjelovitije upoznavanje, njegovanje i čuvanje tradicije i identiteta Dubrovnika. "Dubrovački kurioziteti" posebni su i po činjenici da je autor iz stotina i tisuća fragmenata objavljenih na različitim mjestima (arhivski dokumenti, povijesne knjige, memoari, epigrafi i sl.), ali i iz razgovora sa sudionicima svjedocima pojedinih zbivanja, izabrao one najvrjednije i najneobičnije podatke, pretvorivši ih svojim talentom u čitko i pitko štivo.

Najnovije djelo Suada Ahmetovića reprezentativno je monografsko izdanje sastavljeno od 68 tematskih cjelina s oko 300 fotografija u boji, u kojem se objašnjavaju značaj, uzroci i posljedice najvažnijih događaja u širokom rasponu političke, kulturne i gospodarske tematike. MONOGRAPH “CURIOSITIES OF DUBROVNIK FROM THE PAST TWO MILLENNIA”:  

The Dubrovnik journalist and publicist Suad Ahmetović is the winner of the Award of the City of Dubrovnik as the author of the book Curiosities of Dubrovnik from the Past Two Millennia, which had an exceptional media reception and aroused great interest among readers. This book can be admired as a standard work of investigative journalism, but records also a strong stimulus for more complete knowledge about Dubrovnik and its traditions and identity.
